Things to see and do in York

York is a city with Roman, Viking, and Medieval heritage and has a large number of tourist attractions including York Minster, the National Railway Museum, Castle Museum, Clifford's Tower and an almost complete city wall that you can walk around. There are also many excellent restaurants and pubs in York (one for every day of the year it is often said). There are many websites that provide more detailed information (e.g. www.visityork.org/seeanddo/). If your schedule allows we recommend arriving a day early or staying a day after the workshop to see some of the sights of York.
